Aimpoint on AK-47?

Since we are chiming in on an ancient thread, I'll do so too. The Beryl/Archer 1913 picatinny rail is the best solution I've used on an AK. It's rock solid and allows you to still use the iron sights while having an optic mounted. The downsides are that it is a bit heavy and you are in chin weld territory for the optic. I still say it's better than side mounted rails, dustcover rails, etc. Obviously it's use is very limited to the Beryl/Archers and WBP Fox rifles since you need the right cut outs in the front sight block and attachment point on the rear trunnion.

i really gotta find me an SKS somewhere and put a rail with a pinty on it. and then claim it as a best thing ever since the sliced bread.
:)
and SBR that SKS sucker as well.
