Got a question: if I put an acog on a flatop AR (colt 6920) will the front sight post be in the way? I have a standard front sight post. I do not want to remove it and put in a backup fs. If the post appears at the bottom of the view and doesn't get in the way of the BCD markings I'd be ok with that (sort of like a lower cowitness). Does anyone have a setup like this, or has anyone tried one?

I'm looking at this setup in particular: http://stores.homestead.com/Laruetactical/Detail.bok?no=254

The FSB will be there... but because of the magnification... you won't see it. And it won't block your sight picture through the ACOG.

You're good to go [smile]

I have an M4RCO ACOG. The FSB will be visible as a dark blur, but it will not affect anything and the BDC will be perfectly useable.
Just remember - a BDC is just a "best guess".
