A Retractable Bayonet Spike!

there's a small thought in my brain, growing bigger as i type this, that's sayin' "me like...buy one!"

Meh... Only a noob would take his eyes off the target while switching over from rifle/carbine to sidearm. If you can't grab your pistol without looking at it, you need more training.

IMO, that will be bought by people with more money than brains that will go for the 'cool gadget' effect. Never mind that it consumes the entire lower rail spot on your AR. Never mind how much weight it will add. Never mind how much bulk it will add.

If I'm going to add something offensive under an AR, I'd rather have it in 12G or something that has a bit of range to it.

it's only a bayo lug that's illegal if you have "too many" evil features, right? Nothing about a picatinny mounted bayonet?

Much prefer lightsabre bayonets...

Bayonets barely have a military application any more, and that's while they can still be used as tools and knives. What need does this thing fill other than a video game boner?

For those saying “dumb” and “impractical” and all that...

You’re right.

But who cares?? It’s cool. I wouldn’t buy it for $200, but it’s definitely got the cool factor about it.

Sometimes that’s enough.

These local guys (Paper City) solve a problem for a customer. With what's a cheap, pointless novelty to some.

Then bring it out for public consumption. That's just good ole fashion economics. Like it. Buy it. Don't. Don't.

Cool or dumb. I'm not going to blame them for trying to make a buck. Or trying to help someone in the community

I saw the absolute coolest M4 in church while deployed in Bagram Afghanistan.
An Army Warrant Officer had it, and had removed everything but the iron sights. He said he lost at least five pounds of crap that he’d never need, and now he can comfortably carry a real gun.
I like the idea of small compact carbines, and can’t comprehend adding all lthat nds of stuff on them.

Good luck to the sellers of these. I wouldn’t buy it, but I’m sure they’ll enjoy brisk sales.

The big issue is that if you mount that you wont have room for your picatinny ball-sack vert grip or your Pez (Viagra) dispenser.
On the other hand you can use it to give yourself a lobotomy, which I would recommend if you buy one. [laugh][laugh][laugh]
