A guy with a ccw kills an active shooter in Texas Restaurant

Lucky for him it wasn't a >51% establishment [smile]

Manny must be pushing 75....it was over 20 years ago that I took his shotgun class at Harvard Sportsmens.

Is it me, or is Texas heating up lately?

Jeebus. I know this place well. It's just 1 mile from my cousin's home and in a very nice area.

Job well done by the good guy.

The guy isn't out of the woods quite yet. Texas law bans carrying a gun in a bar, whether one has a permit or not.
More specifically, an establishment that earns more than 51% of revenue from alcohol.
Most such stories include something like "nobody could recall what he looked like" when the giid guy stops a bad guy but doesn't necessarily shoot the bad guy.
In very California Liberal Austin TX the DA would probably be pressing to charge the guy.
