I don't know California's gun laws very well at all, so it's hard to make a call on this one.

In a just world, I would think a Judge or some sort of an "appeals Board" might be able to drop the charges and return the gun to her for her protection.

But unfortunetly this isn't a Just world.....

You would think so, but like you said...we don't live in a Just world.
