Anyone know of a case that will fit the Mark III hunter that isn't absolutely huge? I'm currently using this: http://www.midwayusa.com/viewproduct/?productnumber=682841 but it's just too big... would like something that could fit in a range bag. Hard case preferable but if someone knows of a nice soft-sided case, please recommend!

Best case scenario (pun intended) would be something like the secure-it but the extra long barrel on the Hunter makes that case too small. The dimensions for the Hunter is: 11.12" length 41.00 oz. 1.20" width 5.50" height.

Thanks!

Cool, yeah I've seen some pictures of the suede version by Allen too and the Allen "molded" handgun case... think they'd fit if I put a scope/red dot on too?

Tough call. The 13" may be too small, but there are a few different versions including a 10"x17" rectangular one. I'm sure one of them will work -- it's just a matter of how space-efficient you want to be.

Thanks

try ruger.com forums or rimfirecentral.com

Will try. Just an FYI for everyone else, I ended up getting the Allen molded case:
http://www.amazon.com/Allen-Company-Molded-Semi-Auto-Pistol/dp/B0035LVTLU

It measures 12x7 and barely fits with action closed. No go for sure with a scope. The case has 2 zippers which can be locked with a small TSA lock... padding seems sufficient for the range bag but I wouldn't swing it around much with the little carry handle it's got attached on it.
