I mostly load 9mm, with smaller quantities of .38spcl, 357mag and .357sig.

Doing a quick look at my shelves last night, trying to determine if I need/want more of anything.

12,000 SPP primers on my shelf, with another 5,000 gone missing with Fedex.
2,000 magnum pistol primers for the .357sig and .357mag.

2,000 .357sig bullets
2,000 .38spcl/.357mag in 158grn
2,000 .38spcl in 130grn
7,000 9mm in 124 grn, with another 5,000 on order

2 lbs of accurate #9 for .357sig
4 lbs of titegroup for everything else

So, I wondered this morning if I need more powder. And I realized that I have no idea how many rounds I can load with a pound of powder.
Google says - 7000 grains per pound.
My typical load is 4.0 grains.
7000 / 4.0 - 1750
Question answered.

So, I've got enough powder for approximately 7,000 loads.

(6) pounds of TiteGroup ordered.

Did the same thing about 2 months back.

I think I've shot 1 outlaw steel match since then, because everythings either full up or cancelled.
I think I've given up trying to get in anywhere for the season.

Usually by now I've burned through at least half of my loaded stock, and just load as I go when I start to get low, before the winter case prep and reloading binge comes.

Now I'm sittin on buckets of brass, 15+ bricks of primers, 8 or 9 lbs of powder, I don't know how much .38 spl and .45 acp, 3 cases of 9mm Federal Syntec.
50+ moon clips loaded and ready to be shot.

Slowly gathering stuff (mostly finishing tools)to do a 625 Bowling Pin hammer project. Maybe do some work to the 610 and some throat work to the 627.

Got a brand new CZ97B that I haven't even fired yet. My Shadow Target 2's been calling to me to get out of the locker and be run.

Go to the range and its FUDD central with Mask-Karens or Tacti-Tards comparing Oakley's and "TIER 5 OPERATOR KITS" (complete with stickers for your Tacti-Jeep or Tacti-Truck)

Sorry to hi-jack this with a rant. Those are my 1st world problems.

Now that you're crunching numbers, it's easy to see why it makes economic sense to shoot reduced rifle loads, where possible.
Even in a modest capacity case like the 6.5x55mm, you'll get 5x more rounds with 8.0 grains (or less) of Red Dot versus 40.0 grains of IMR 4064. The pistol powders generally cost less than extruded rifle powders, too.
That's a lot more trigger time on the same dime.
