7.62 AKs in CT: Any grey areas or all illegal?

Out here in CA, the "AK series" language in our Robert-Roos law prevented only the named rifles from being unregistered. Additionally, all other rifles that had the markings "AK-47" were also illegal (might be true even if the rifle was not using a Kalashnikov action at all). Once the rules were clearly thought out, large numbers of legal AK clones without banned markings were brought into the state.

Any chance such good fortune might shine on the citizens of CT?

Lastly, there is terminology in one of the statutes banning semiautomatic versions of machine guns. How does one get around this with a Daniel Defense carbine?

Thanks!

I think we are pretty much out of luck. If you didnt own it (in CT) prior to the law being passed, if you did there was some sort of registration process for grandfathered rifles (or so I am told by people here in CT that did it)
