This works well for me. The overlapping elastic flaps on the top of this pouch allow you to reach in and extract a round or a quick strip easily and silently. You can carry 25 12G rounds, or 10 6-round .454 quick strips as shown. It would probably hold twice as much .454 without the strips, but the strips keep things organized and silent. It's tough to imagine a circumstance where 60 rounds of .454 would be insufficient...
I like being able to carry a non-trivial quantity of spare ammo, readily accessible and silent, without looking like Pancho Villa.
In the photos above, the pouch contains .454 Hornady 300gr full-power loads (JHP), Buffalo Bore .45LC +P bear loads (LFP), and .45LC cowboy loads (LRN). I can tell them apart by feel.
