i'm thinking of adding a 45acp to my collection.
i'm not a 1911 type, was steered away from the sig250
kind of like the sig 220 but i want to go polymer
what are my other options?
i fondled a glock 21 sf and liked it, but just wanted
to know what else is out there.
thx

Why no Sig p250? If the trigger gets fixed, what else is wrong with it? I'm wanting to get one this weekend!

Charles.

Tough to find in MA but I have a Springfield XD45 Tactical (5 inch barrel) and its a great shooter. I shoot it better than the 1911 I built.
I recommend the Glock 21SF too.
S&W M&P 45 is a great gun and easily found new and used in MA...you'll need a trigger job on a new one.
HK USP 45 or the newer HK45 which I saw two seen being sold personal sale a few weeks ago.

I know its not polymer but You could always go the revolver route if you like them and get a S&W 625JM which is a 6-shot 4" barrel stainless double action revolver.

I like my G21. One of these days I am going to order one of those KRISS mag extensions and be the baddest ninja around.

as far as the sig, my local dealer talked me out of it along w/ a number of customers, they all said bad design
and also, appears sig may have dropped the line already. i was planning on going to afs this wkend to try one out,
but going to pass.
not a revolver guy either.
i'll have to look into the hk's i know they are good guns, but the few i've seen were priced, at what i thought, was high.
not sure what i'm looking to spend, was quoted for a gen 3 glock 21sf $850.00 so that may be the route i go, but i want to shoot one first, so i'll probably go to afs to see what they have
thx

why not try a real gun? AKA a wheel gun

Look around for 3rd gen Smith and Wessons. I have a 4506 and a 457. Both acquired in Mass thanks to NorthEastShooters.

I got a fullsize Springfield XD45 - 5 mags, mag carriers, and simple plastic holster. I am looking to get something different myself if your interested send me a PM. Back to your normal scheduled topic lol.

Not the easiest to find in MA, but after going through an STI Escort, G30, and G36 I have settled on a Khar PM45. Disappears IWB and shoots great! (although the Khars do seem to vary in quality/reliability somewhat).
For full size nothing will replace my G21 though.

The Glock 21 is nice...if you can find one. Hence the price.

I wasn't a 1911 fan either, but the Remington R 1911 R1 Enhanced is a great gun. It is so smooth, accurate, and reliable.

And it looks awesome with Wilson Combat extension mags sticking out the bottom.

Ruger 345 or S&W M&P 45. The Ruger is short money under $400 IIRC. Both can be had at your local gun shop. I like the S&W 625 so much I have 2.

I'm biased as I have both but both the SF ( 21 and 30 ) model Glocks are awesome and address the brick issue so often complained about. I have what I would say are med to small hands and I have no problem. They run reliably, eat everything I feed them, and have good capacity.

If you look and call you can find good deals.....

i agree the hk are nice but for something i'm not going to shoot that often,
not sure i can justify that kind of money. still looking around
some options given here, thx, i may end up with a 1911 style
since i just want to plink w/ it every now and then, but still looking at other options
