Looking at the data from lymans 50th edition there is not data for a 385 grain round nose for the marlin 1895. However there is data under the ruger #1 and #3. It shows a starting load of 49.5 grains of h322 which puts the MAP at 25,600 CUP, below the maximum of 28,000 CUP of the 1895 which I'll be shooting it from.

My question being is that ok to load? I wouldn't move from there as I only have 50 projectiles to reload and it rapidly jumps up from 49.5 @ 25,600 to 55 compressed load @ 38,300 CUP.

Not looking to blow myself up, I have 3/4 a pound of h322 and would love to burn some off

Usually a round nose isn't recommended in lever guns. So be careful depending on the profile.
Either way I would just the 400 grain bullet data. 15 grain's lighter won't make much of a difference. You're not going heavier after all.

I don't see a 385 grain but I see 45 to 49 grains with a 400 grain flat point. The load will not be pleasant to shoot and may generate enough recoil to be a problem in a tubular magazine as Michael J. said.
