It "was" a smart TV but it seems Samsung stopped providing software updates to it. It will work fine if you use it for a gaming system or are connecting it to a cable box. Maybe a kids room that has an xbox/Playstation etc. Just won't work with streaming apps etc. unless someone knows a workaround.
