40 s&w problem

I sounds like you have a case of PGS (pregnant guppy syndrome) from expanded brass. Check with your barrel - case gauges are generally tighter. The best solution is roll sizing you brass (Case Pro, Rollsize, etc.). Lee makes a push-through 40 resizing die that does a good job cheap. Beware conventional dies that claim to size all the way to the base - they sometimes push brass down rather than just squeeze the case.

If the deformation around the firing pin indent on your brass is rectangular rather than circular, chances are it was shot from a Glock Fotay. Glocks does not consider reloadability in design criteria, and their rather loose chambers and unsupported section by the ramp are a setup for PGS. In fact, the Lee instructions caution to not use their push through die to prep ammo for Glock shooting due to the larger unsupported area of the chamber. Bulge Buster Kit - Lee Precision
