Interesting case failure at the range today. Shooting my reloads in my G34 and G35 through the chronograph. 9mm was fine ,got 25 rounds through the .40 and after I pulled the trigger it didn't sound or feel right. I got splattered with powder and the mag blew out of the gun.
I stripped the gun looking to see what happened, wasnt a squib. I'd think it wasn't in battery fully but I case gauge every round I make. I'm very anal about checking powder level before I put the bullet in the case too. I've shot 5k of my current recipe without issue. I'm thinking the case had a minor crack which caused the blow out ? The gun had no damage, it did eject the brass. After looking it over real good it fired 50 more rounds without issue. I'm quite happy I don't have a blown up .40 cal glock !
