34mm scope rings that don't leave marks on the scope. Any suggestions?

I agree, knock the edges off and polish the insides. Should clamp nicely without marking.

I remember correctly marks happen due to two reasons

1. you are over tightening the scope rings I.E. crushing the scope
2. theres a burr and if you shift the scope it scrapes?

Back in the day my dad would wrap Scotch tape around the scope tube. Also would use a touch of clear silicone adheasive to keep things in place. Ahh the good old days when 5/8ths tubes and 3x9s where the bomb!
