The 2A is no longer a right in MA- it’s a privilege

Rep. Marjorie Decker, ladies and gents.

“It is a privilege that we allow individuals to hold onto something that causes harm and death,” Decker said. “It is a privilege to have a car license, it is a privilege to have a gun license.”

https://www.massgunrights.com/privilege-have-gun-license/

Yeah, it’s a $100 “privilege” that cuts out people who aren’t privileged enough to pay to exercise a Right. This is that “cosmopolitan bias” Stephen Miller was talking about a while back.

I can't believe the shit that those moonbats say.

It's pathological.

Rep. David Linsky said the bills were “filed in retaliation” to Healey’s actions and urged the committee not to advance the legislation.

“The attorney general has the authority to promulgate and enforce rules on all items sold to consumers in Massachusetts, including firearms. Attorney General Healey acted within her constitutional authority as the consumer advocate to stop the sale of copycat assault weapons and protect the residents of the commonwealth from these illegal weapons,”

You're damn right it's retaliation. And it should be.

The AG does *NOT* have the right to change the law, and there's not even a hint of "consumer protection" in her edict or the original AWB.

Isn't there an MA law under which anyone (even a judge, elected official, etc) can be fined and imprisoned for depriving someone of their constitutional rights?

The elitist attitude of this state's socialist legislature is nauseating. It sickens and embarrasses me to admit that I still live here.

It's a privilege for women to vote.
It's a privilege for blacks to not be enslaved.
It's a privilege to say what you think.
It's a privilege to worship how you see fit.\

I think something like this should be highlighted by the NRA. This would be better painted with national attention. This is proof from a legislator about what they see our rights as.

People like Linsky make it like we’re being ungrateful for the protection they’re graciously giving us from the ills of society while living on their plantation.

They couldn’t make us look more like subjects instead of citizens if they tried.

Worcester telegram ran a similar article. Interesting the silencer bill was brought by a Worcester dem.

Apparently it's impolite to not own a suppressor in the UK, which is the gun control model the left frequently points to. They aren't serialized, aren't restricted, and everybody uses them. Heard about that on the Steven Crowder podcast, found an article about it on ttag.

Ridiculousness all around from Boston lawmakers today. The bill of rights is apparently now the bill of privileges.

That MassGunRights article should be shared with every forum and social media outlet that supports 2A rights.
@MarjorieDecker should be given the attention that an epic moronic statement like this entitles a virtue-signaling political hack -- she should not be allowed to make political hay on this without some discomfort.

Just another dumb, liberal gun grabber that represents Cambridge and knows nothing about the US Constitution. An exam on the US Constitution should be mandatory for any of these clowns that run for office.

I was in the room when she said this and all I could do was shake my head, pure ignorance on her part [banghead]. I'm so tempted to send her an e-mail on how foolish she is, but I'm sure you guys are already doing that [rockon].

I'm sure it's a "privilege" for her to serve... especially with that new raise she gave herself. I'm sure it's actually a real pleasure for her to collect that check and shit on everybody in the process.

I sent mine to her, and Trump. She should literally be required to recuse herself from her position, now that she has publicly denounced the Constitution she vowed to uphold.

What do you mean no longer ???

For as long as I can remember, 2A has always been treated as "privilege" in Mass, and I got my first FID card in 1982.
(one of those cards that was supposedly good for life) [rolleyes]

The only difference now is that they're finally admitting they don't treat it as a constitutional right.

By pure happenstance I'm wearing a t-shirt right now that says "The right of the people to bear arms shall not be infringed". I got dressed in the dark as I do each morning, so as to not wake my wife; it's not as though I chose that shirt it just happened to be on top of the pile in my drawer.

Your state legislators suck.

Federal law:
[h=1]18 U.S. Code § 241 - Conspiracy against rights[/h][h=1]18 U.S. Code § 242 - Deprivation of rights under color of law[/h]

I'm shocked I tell ya![rofl]
Come guys. We have to meet the chief of police and ask permission to apply for a fid card or ltc here in MA.

1968 was the big year in gun control.
In fact all our laws against firearms are called gun control.

Those in office in our state and federal government and law enforcement have the right to bear arms.
Not the people!

None of this is a shocker, as it has been this way here in MA for a very long time!

What will change?..More laws will come till you are a felon in your own home due to your unwillingness to surrender your arms!

It's a good time to think about storing your arms in a not so easy place for those that wish to remove them from you!

I do find it funny that the USS Constitution is still in Boston harbor.
As those in office in this state can't stand the though of the document!

Today I feel a little less free. But a hell of a lot more like a patriot![smile]

I,figure I should at least write my reps and let them know they should be calling for this domestic enemy of the Constitution step down.

I was there to hear that BS also. Along with writing my Rep and Senator, I'll be emailing the Speaker, Lt Gov and Gov.

Meh, honestly I'm over this one now. 2A's been treated as a special privilege for decades here.

Best response: go out and buy a new gun. Bonus points if it's a Glock or off-list pistol.

Feel free to call the rights valued by any other minority in this country a privledge, see what kind of response you'd get then...

Here's a middle finger right back. What a disgrace. That individual is unfit to serve... and not the only one that meets that description.
