As my 1914 M06 Colt Police Positive in .38 special hasn't sold, I decided to take out to play today. It does make a slim little carry gun with a good punch.

Took another spin with pumpkins, but this time I danced with five little pumpkinettes. I used a box of Federal 158gr cast round nose bullets. Muzzle velocity of 770fps or 208 foot pounds of kinetic energy. I guessed the distance was 20 feet; turned out to be 28.

As the pumpkinettes were small targets, I tested my accuracy first on a paper target. Low ones were double action. After the 9 rounds on the pumpkinettes, I put the rest of the box on paper. I thought the rounds would have done more damage, but they basically went straight through.

Nice!

I'm guessing that based on your club's policy on qualifying to use the range- Tannerite filled pumpkins would be verboten?
