A federal judge on Thursday ruled that a D.C. law requiring guns to be registered, mandating safety training and limiting the number of pistol purchases per month do not violate Second Amendment protections of the right to bear arms...

In October 2011, the D.C. Circuit upheld the city’s ban on military-style semiautomatic rifles and magazines that hold more than 10 rounds of ammunition...

He affirmed the overall registration process for pistols and long guns, writing that the requirements “are substantially related to the District’s interests in police protection and public safety and narrowly tailored to achieving those interests.”

Of the law that limits D.C. residents’ purchase of new pistols to one per month, Judge Boasberg wrote, “even under the current limitation, District residents can still accumulate up to 12 new pistols each year. That is more than enough.” ...

The ruling also affirms a requirement by the Metropolitan Police Department that gun owners must renew their gun registration every three years. Renewal is required for an estimated 30,000 guns registered in the city before 2011. The renewal process began in January...

Says who?
The ability to magically conjure up completely obscure rationals of what "should be" by these anti-freedom Nazis is absurd. We should limit the amount of words a politician can speak in a given year because right now I believe they say ENOUGH...

Says who?

This patriot right here did: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/James_E._Boasberg

On June 17, 2010, President Barack Obama formally nominated Boasberg to the District Court for the District of Columbia.

Osama Bin Laden Photos[edit]

On April 26, 2012, Judge Boasberg issued a publicly controversial ruling. He denied the public's right to view government photos of a deceased Osama Bin Laden. Judicial Watch, a conservative legal group, had filed a request under the Freedom of Information Act, but were unsuccessful in convincing the Judge that FOIA rights outweighed national-security factors.[12]

Appointment to United States Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court[edit]

On February 7, 2014 Chief Justice John G. Roberts announced that he would appoint Boasberg to the United States Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court for a term starting May 18, 2014 to a seat being vacated by Reggie Walton.[14] [15]

Ya know what really gets me? The fact that this trampling on our Bill of Rights is going on right under the nose of SCOTUS, who is supposed to make sure that the U.S. Constitution is upheld.
