.22LR ammo

Oh, and they had other rifle calibers there too!
It's like, oh where was this sitting in the back room?

8 posts in and we still don't know the location?? Help a fellow NES'er out, friend, or keep it to yourself altogether!

Edit- Reading comprehension!!!!!!! "At Walmart in WARE...." I'm done... no excuse. Womp womp

Ware was one of the stores that completely emptied out the ammo case during the Covid no-sell period, so this stock has been sitting in the back room for a while. It hit the shelves late last week, and as of an hour ago the .22 is getting low. There are only a couple of bulk packs and some boxes/containers of either 100 or 50 rounds.

Those golden bullets - woof. I still have a
75% of one of those buckets left. Extreme accuracy issues, very audible differences in report after each shot (massive differences in powder charges) and for the finale, it leaded my mkiii to the point where it was a smoothbore. There was no rifling left! That was fun to clean. Anyone want the rest of the bucket?

Great price on those mini mags

At Wal Mart in Ware this AM. There was over 10K rds, Rem Golden buckets, 1400 rds ($64.00), CCI Blazer in 1050 box ($39.99), CCI, Mini Mags ($7.47 -100), Standards ($3.47- 50), Winchester. Shocking to say the least.
Both of my little girls' rifles (bolt action heavy barrel Savage and Ruger heavy barrel 10/22) do their best work with Remington 40 grain "golden bullet" rounds. Kind of convenient. Buy a couple of bricks and feed two rifles!

There is your answer.

Any unjacketed ammo will do that, and that Remington shit is basically unjacketed trying to pretend it's not. That's why you should have a stack of copper chore boy scrubbers handy. Wrap them around your bore brush and go to town with your favorite cleaning solution.

Moral of the story is: if you don't want lead buildup in your barrel, shoot jacketed ammo.

Framingham Walmart had 500 HP mini-mags. Oh and some buckshot, slugs, and a lonely box of .308, couldn’t leave him alone even though I don’t have something to feed it to, yet. Must have been their weekly allotment? Can’t imagine anyone would have bought some and not just taken everything like I did. F3BE195F-27DD-42AF-AA9D-F22681289289.jpeg

I want to push that ammo back from the edge of the table...
and the butter-braid pretzel twists closer to me.
help me out...
