I think that they'll regret the $9 Million signing bonus. That's some decent money for him to play around with if he decides he doesn't want to get with the program. Then again, that's short money for the Patriots and maybe worth the gamble.

Let's see if Father Bill can restructure the mental attitude of another wayward son. This might have the workings of a really good season. They sure do like taking in hard cases.

Pats love to try and get a good deal on a used car, worked out okay on Ochocinquo and Randy Moss..... Brown is a hard guy to play against, let's hope he can fit in and contribute here!

In addition to Edelman, Dorsett, and Gordon the Pats now have Brown? That's a lot of weapons for Brady to throw to and he's going to need them with Gronk no longer eating up attention, especially when they're in the red zone.

We'll see what happens. The Raiders franchise has long been an unprofessional place to play and the inmates took over the asylum since Al Davis died. The Pats are a much different organization than the Raiders.

That season where Brady and Moss went off was awesome. I’ll take another like that.

If they can keep his ego in check, and he gets his rocks off enough having Brady throw to him... this will likely be
legendary. I place odds at something like 4-1 but this could possibly be full on god tier. Despite his attitude AB is a god tier receiver, when he wants to be.

Meh, I think they're done playing games with swapping players/etc/whackadoodle trades and they can afford to blow cap space or whatever on him, let's face facts, put his ego aside for the moment, the pats are not going to sniff anyone in ABs tier otherwise, the other teams have their elites locked up tight. And if he ends up sucking it's a one and done deal, it's not like they signed their life away for 3 years on him.

any chance AB is playing tomorrow night against the Steelers? The irony would be awesome.
Unfortunately he can't play until week 2. His signing occurred after 4pm today which was apparently the cutoff time to be able to play tomorrow. Would have been great.

Well if Bob Kraft wants some God Tier performance he needs to get AB a season pass to the "Asian Orchard."

I love this just for the fun. Physically, AB is one of the best receivers I've ever seen. Mentally and emotionally, I wouldn't let him walk my dog. I give it four weeks.

AB will, at worst, be the New Gronk: even if he’s not catching passes, he’ll be the guy the other team has to devote its game planning to. So he’ll draw the best the opposing defense can summon up, leaving Brady the rest of the field to play with.

I wonder if Las Vegas is laying odds for this? It wouldn't surprise me at all.

I figured that part. What I meant was the odds on Brown playing the full season (minus tonight) on the roster. Someone here said for games, so I have to wonder what the line is on him playing in all of the regular season and playoff games?

The Pats just went to the favorite at 5-1 in Vegas SB odds. The Raiders dropped to 100-1.

I'd bet a weeks pay he does not make it through the season.

I figured Kraft learned his lesson with Aaron Hernandes...

As of yet, I can find no odds at any casino, which is not surprising as they don't usually post a lot of prop bets at this time of year. Personally, I think it's more likely that Gisele will leave Tom for me than that AB will last the year in good stead. Still, I said the same thing about Randy Moss. Gisele still hasn't called.
