Ben Roethlisberger is out for season for Pittsburgh, Drew Brees out for 6 weeks (possibly longer) for the Saints. Two super bowl winning QB's a few years away from retirement having injury issues. Let's hope the plague doesn't spread...

I think Ben will punch out pretty quick. Not sure his heart wS in this season. I thought he wanted out a year or two ago

"Chung to blow" --nice one!

Three straight games without giving up a touchdown. That's not bad no matter who you are playing.

According to CBS stats, Gostkowski just plain sucks in Miami. 3 games in his career he's missed both an FG and a PAT, two of them in Miami.

With Brady still around there's no reason to go look for another kicker. Save that for the year Brady retires as at that time I doubt Gostkowski would want to stay with the Pats. In 2 years, I severely doubt Brady will still be playing.
The Pats first 3 SBs they won by 3 points. You really so sure that we don't need a good kicker? Lost the next 2 by 3 and 4 pts respectively. The next SB the Pats won by 4 pts. Still don't think the kicker is important? How many times did they GET to the SB because of a rock solid kicker. Now, I'm not saying Gostkowski is "past his prime" or anything. Quite the opposite. But yes, the position IS important.

I don't think it is either and he looked like he was going thru the motions against the Pats.

I'm not a Steelers fan, don't hate them either, but they're not the team they were a decade ago and ever since that loss in the Super Bowl to the Packers they've not been the same. Tomlin has done okay for them, but when he took over for Cowher he got a championship team that he didn't build.

I don't see Tomlin being the guy to rebuild and coach the team after Big Ben retires.

Well, I guess we disagree here though. I see Tomlin as a massive tool. A few years ago he went out of his way to say that the Steelers are Smash mouth football. Some teams go into the locker room and make adjustments. That’s not the Steelers way. The Steelers were going to come out and play their style for 60 minutes.

Well, that’s one way to look at it. Another reason they don’t make adjustments is the coach is not smart enough to make the necessary changes as the game progresses. Couple that with his epically bad play calling, and let’s not forget him stepping out onto the playing field to trip a player and you get a coach that is not smart enough to tie his shoes.

Anyone catch the MNF game? I was flipping around during a commercial and caught Siemian (sp) get his ankle demolished. He goes down. They show one replay he bounces on the turf and his foot is bouncing independently. Then they show the other angle. Oh gosh. Talk about torn and broken. Thankfully they didn't run another replay after the break. (Not sure if they did later - I checked in once and they were just saying he's out. Yeah. He's out. For 2019. Maybe 2020. Maybe beyond.)

Supposedly Ben was having pain in his elbow prior to the Pats game. Also not a fan of the Steelers, Ben, or Mike T. Have "elbow issues" myself. Strange thing is, I have never injured my elbow but have separated that shoulder and broken that arm. My arm will get so weak I am unable to lift a sheet of paper with my arm fully extended. And in the years following these injuries, I never had any issue this bad with this arm. My guess is there is trauma, compounded over time, where finally things in his arm are just "giving out" due to compensations for other injuries.

I "watched" the first half of that game. It was really ugly looking for sure. I figured he snapped his leg with the way his foot was wobbling. I was dumbfounded that he was actually able to walk on it after that!

What a horrible prime time game. What were there, 17 penalties in the first half? And like 4 of them personal fouls.

Since the move to ESPN, MNF has mostly been garbage with a few good games here and there. I'd say it's something like 70% of the MNF games are shit. I mean, when you have the Jets and Browns on Monday, what does that say?

Both the Jets and Browns had a ton of (IMO, undeserved) hype coming into this season. It’s week two, and you really can’t have the same handful of teams with every Monday night game, and that’s what it would take for them to be good.

I heard he was three hours late for his appointment.

There is a long list of service providers suing him for nonpayment....
Everyone from chefs, cleaners, to the guy that set up his piranha aquarium in Pittsburgh.....He's a punk.

At this point, I don't know that anyone else would sign him. That said, if he ends up parked on the Commissioners Exempt List, I don't think it would hurt the Pats.

Come up with the best reason for Patriots to have A Brown: so no one else will.

I posted on fb his leg was broken as he was on the turf. Then I saw the replay. Everything but bones broken. And he walks off the field. I am sure that doesn't help his cause.
