About a dozen players. Kudos to the Texans who stayed together and showed proper respects. Bill must be pissed.

I kinda just lost interest in this sport with all the anti-American sentiment flowing through the NFL, the players union and the media.

That's what I thought. I bet they showed them on the Jumbotron at that moment.

Despite the recent pervasiveness of this type of thing, and the attempted brainwashing by the media by pushing it, I still believe the average American is sick of this crap, especially in their sports.

Don’t forget to let the sponsors know your disdain for this bullshit.

Yup, as long as we have our bread and circus we don't care.

Here's to spinal injuries for all the protestor players. May their helmets be made by the lowest bidder and their car airbags be on recall.

So the NFL can make players pee in a cup, dictates the color of player shoe laces, measures the pressure of their balls, ... but they can't require players to respect the flag and the national anthem. F them all.

I agree with GlockJock. If the election were held today, Trump would win by a bigger margin. Many people are fed up with this crap. The Donald is saying what they are thinking.

I'm sure he is. I hope he they get benched for creating a distraction. I like football and I like politics, but I don't want to hear politics from football players. Do they have a constitutional right to do it? Of course. Doesn't mean there aren't repercussions from other people with rights. Like the private team to bench or fire their ass. Or for me to root for you to get knocked the **** out or blow out a knee.

Done with the NFL too. Its really just not that important to me. I actually respected the Pats because they didn't have anyone on the team who did this kind of crap. Now they do so I'm out.

I hope they get their non-profit status revoked.

This....there is no first amendment at work. But if you don't like what you have to do or say or dress you can leave.

Those guys getting their guts spilled on Omaha beach didn't have that option...your supposed to salute the flag and national anthem to honor them. Not kneel so you can make a political circus out of it.

I liked the Pats because they stayed away from this shxt and always stood for the National Anthem. But now the NFL and Owners have made it obvious they would rather have divisive individualism, than stand with our country and the flag and the people who fought for it.

Fxck the NFL......Turned it off as soon as I saw kneeling "Patriots". Good riddance...and I'll be sure to let the sponsors know you suck and I won't buy your products either.

You guys are all seriously bent out of shape because some over paid brute with the mental capacity of gnat didn't stand for the national anthem?

I couldn't care any less. Play ball and entertain me. That's all I care about.

This. They get to have opinions, too, even ones I don't like.

Getting back on topic... why are the Pats having this kind of trouble today? It was the same thing Week 1: a mediocre quarterback comes to Foxboro and has a remarkable game against a Pats defense that just can't shut him down. What gives?

seriously if the "media" didn't make such a big deal about the protests, who would care?

Trump should stay the hell out of the NFL and other sports.

I have no problem with players "protesting." You do know that freedom of speech and the right to protest is guaranteed right? That in fact I and every person who ever wore a uniform in defense of this nation fought SPECIFICALLY for these rights?

If you don't like it, stop watching the game. Stop buying tickets to the games, etc. It's all within YOUR right to do so.

Yeah, freedom of speech is guaranteed. So my freedom of speech is to hope for kidney failure for all of them. I treat the NFL like NASCAR, where it's only worth watching for the injuries. Only difference is NASCAR drivers have an actual adult skill.

It really sucks hating a team that wins so much, especially when they always look like they've lost. I hope they step on a lego and get infections.

I'm so sick of everyone saying "it's freedom of speech!" No shit, we understand that. It's also my freedom to not watch these @holes shit on the flag.

You know what I do when I get annoyed that some athlete/actor/etc says shit that I feel is "crossing the line?" I stop paying to watch them. That's right. I don't pay to watch Matt Damon, George Clooney, Mark Wahlburg, Oprah Winfrey, etc... Why? Because they talk political shit and I don't want to "endorse" them with my $$$. So stop watching the NFL. Good riddance. Vote with YOUR $$$$. And if your actions change the NFL, well good for you. But get out of the Patriots thread please. You don't see me starting threads about what douchenozzle thing some liberal actor/actress weighed in on. This thread is about the NEw England Patriots. You've said your piece. Move on.

Is it a thing that you get to moderate your own threads now? And weren't all those "sons of bitches" kneeling before the game our 2017-2018 New England Patriots? Seems pretty on topic.

He done good, real good![smile] If he could scramble like the Texans QB he'd really be untouchable. I can't believe how many times their QB escaped being sacked.
