Sometimes I worry that you folks might get tired of a new thread every week. But then I realize that this is the Milsurp forum of Northeast Shooters, and this is where you come to contribute, learn and bask in the atmosphere of walnut, cold steel and cosmoline!

Not all of my 2015 acquisitions are milsurp, and somehow the Nambus were included twice. But please enjoy a look at my best year of buying to date.

And please post pics of your Year in Milsurps, too!

i always enjoy your posts but hate you at the same time [rofl]....you must have a money printing machine somewhere [laugh2] awesome post and thanks for always sharing ..good luck in 2016

Yeah thanks for ruining a good year for the rest of us.....[smile]
Many of living Vicariously through you.
Nice set of items for 2015. Milsurp has been extremely slow for me. For one I'm on he track of being fun money broke. 2 nothing comes up locally of any interest or at reasonable prices.

Also what you have collected in the past year is more than any LGS has had In my area in years.

If I'm counting right, you've acquired 63 pieces this year? I'd like to visit your house! Actually, we might be in Maine next summer.

So it was a little more than one per week.

And you are welcome any time! We'll hit the personal range. You bring the fruit.

While 63 is more than my entire collection, 2015 was my best year for for collecting. The largese came at an emotional price, however, as I used a modest sum of my inheritance from my late father. From my blue book:

1. 03.1.15: 1944 IBM M1 carbine, original condition .30
2. 09.1.15: 1910 M07 Dreyse 7.65 pistol
3. 03.2.15: 1936 M34 Beretta .380 pistol
4. 20.3.15: M95 Budapest long rifle 8x56
5. 02.4.15: 1899 M96 Swedish Mauser by Obendorf 6.5x55
6. 03.4.15: 1943 Winchester M1 carbine .30
7. 13.5.15: 1854 M42 Springfield musket .69
8. 20.5.15: 1906 Tula M95 Nagant revolver 7.62x38r
9. 15.6.15: 1943 S/W M05 Military and Police (v4 Victory) revolver in .38 special
10. 05.7.15: 1862 M53 Enfield rifle musket .577
11. 30.7.15: 1822 M16 Springfield percussion conversion musket .69
12. 02.11.15: 1944 T/S38 Carcano converted to 8mm
13. 25.11.15: 1907 M00 Browning in 7.65
14. 25.11.15: Reproduction Armi-Sport M42 Springfield musket .69
15. 29.11.15: 1915 M08 Colt in .380
16. enroute: 1918 M08 Colt in .25
17. pending: 1972 Walther P1 in 9mm

I also sold/traded 5 pieces.

i can never hate Martin. ... he has helped me with timely advice so many times and so many ways. you kept me from making some huge mistakes.
although I have slowed down my collecting, my collection still surpasses his one year of buying (barely!!)

My 2015 was one of my lightest years. I guess my motorcycle hobby got in the way of my gun hobby.
I did get only 2 but they were ones that I could not walk away from

1. 1944 BYF P38 from Manninblue , yes MIB I still have it.

2. Chinese SKS papered bringback ( for $621 shipped !)

Tail of the Dragon with the Mrs- 3000 miles in 2 weeks

god bless all into the new year

Once I get the '55 back from its final fixes next spring it will be cruise time.

I need a byf P38 next year to complet the trifecta.
