As long as Gronk can stay healthy and the Pats can get a couple of other good receivers, their offense shouldn't be of much concern. Last year, for the five weeks they had Gronk back, they had the best offense in the league. They really need to seal up some of those holes on the defense though, otherwise they're going to need to rely on a high scoring offense to win games.

If who they have on defense stay relatively healthy, as opposed to last year, they will be a top 3 defense this year.....

Already? That seems early to play with that gruesome injury he had.

He's a monster, I just don't see him staying healthy all year. Fingers crossed though.

he is a monster but plays reckless....he needs to go to the Tony Gonzales school of tight end longevity

If the D stays healthy it has the potential to dominate

Gronk will never play another full season in his short career.

    I tend to agree.

Unless he can play smarter. Sometimes it isn't even him. Low hits on his knees don't help matters either. That hit he took would blow anyone's leg out.

Depends on what you consider a complete season.

Lots of guys get dinged up for a game or 2. But with Gronk injury seems to equal "broken".

I'll Tell ya what, lets make it fun. He misses 3 or more games this year and I will pay for a round of golf. 2 or less and you buy.

I'm at some stupid wedding rehearsal in North Andover, and then all the way to stupid Gloucester for dinner. Ugh

I'd rather be watching the game.

I am absolutely PUMPED for this season, in my opinion this will be our last real chance for a Super Bowl with Brady.

Yeah, but anyone who got hit the way he did (this last incident, not sure about his injuries before that) would have been completely ****ed up, no real getting around it. Maybe some of it is the way he plays but honestly I think its because he ends up being an attractive target He's as much of a distraction to the other teams defense as he is a good receiver, that's why he's so damned good. Even if he's not catching the ball on a given play he's creating a situation where someone else is.

Gronk plays reckless and fearless....which can work in his favor and has and work against him and has...when your a monster they gotta get you down anyway they can. he needs to look into how Tony Gonzales lasted so long as an NFL tight end (I think 17 or 18 seasons) and still brought it..

Are the officials getting paid by the number of flags they throw tonight or something?

They better lighten the "F" up with all this flag crap. Some of those calls were pretty lame.

    Patriots going 13-3 this year.
    Brady will throw 40-45 touchdowns.
The defense will be markedly improved.

Defeat the Indianapolis Colts in the AFC championship.
Win the Superbowl by defeating the Green Bay Packers. (41-27)
Brady will be Superbowl MVP and announce that he is retiring and running for President.

Done deal, good move! Mankins has not played up to his salary the last couple years. Wright 50+ catches, 571 yards adn 6 TD's as a rookie last year. Better than gronk or graham's rookie seasons. Good gronk insurance or great threat to pair up with him.

Hope that you are correct, but Denver is going to be a tough out in the playoffs with a much-improved D this year.
