If you have never shot the Steel Challenge you have to make it to one of these matches. Once you do you will be hooked! This is the ultimate test in speed and accuracy!
What you need:
We welcome new shooters to participate in our matches and encourage them to view the Steel Challenge Beginnners Guide Video on the Pioneer Sportsmen's Club website . This will provide the new shooter with some valuable insight about the match, how it is run and what is expected of you.
If this is your first time participating in this type of match, please let us know at registration and also identify yourself to the Safety Officers at each Stage as a NEW match shooter. He/she will respect you for your honesty and this will allow him/her to be more alert to your inexperience and help guide you. Approach the match with the mindset that this is an opportunity for you to learn and DON'T RUSH! No one is going to remember next week or next month how well you shot, but I GUARANTEE they WILL remember you if you muzzle them, forget to keep your finger out of the trigger guard, forget to place the safety on, or you have a negligent discharge.
If you have any questions, please email Andy Nash – [email protected]
