You can view the 2009 Competition Calendar at:

You can subscribe to 2009 Competition Calendar at:

I will continue to update and refresh the calendar as more information becomes available. If you subscribe to the calendar, your local calendar will be automatically updated.
If you learn of a shoot that you think others might be interested in, forward the information to me and I will get it on the calendar.
To the best of my knowledge, the information contained therein is correct, but I would recommend verifying before traveling too far.

I have just discovered that the html version of this calendar doesn't show all of the information that is in each entry, such as the location and URL link to the event.
I have also learned that Windows XP doesn't have a native Calendar application that will allow you to subscribe to the published calendar.
I believe that all the information entered into each event is visible if you are running MacOS iCal or Vista's Windows Calendar.

Good job, thanks for the info. I hope the local clubs will get a good look at this calendar and perhaps figure a way to schedule their matches so as to avoid conflicts. I would love to try the 22 steel matches, but I am only 15 min away from MRA which hosts and excellent steel shoot on the same date.

My hope is that lots of folks use this for reference.
All of the conflicts suck, but at least we know what our choices are. I'm trying to figure out if I can shoot the event at AFS on the morning of 11 Jan and still make MRA for steel at 12:30.
I will continue to update this as I continue to find shoot information, so keep checking often or subscribe to it if you can. When you subscribe, you will see updates automagically after I post them.

Please send me shoot info that you learn about that is not yet listed on the calendar.

Yes indeed. Thanks for putting it together!

You seem mostly focused on action shooting right now. Was that intentional or just what you've found so far? I'd find it useful to have the HP schedules for Nashua (http://www.nfga.org/highpower/2009schedule.html), Scarborough (http://www.scarfg.org/twiki/bin/view/Main/Rifle), and Reading (not yet posted; somewhere on http://www.readinghighpower.com/) added.

My interest lies mostly with steel, both statis and knockdown, and silhouette, so those are the shoots that I found first.

I hadn't seen the Nashua High Power schedule yet, I'm a member, but I will bet those on the calendar tonight.

Thanks for the heads-up.

The Nashua and Scarborough events have been added to the calendar.
I will add Reading as soon as the schedule is posted.

If anyone else knows of events that might be of interest to other members, please let me know and I will get them on the calendar.

Very helpfull. You did a lot of work.

Thanks for the compliment. I'm glad folks find it useful.
I'm just trying to do my part expanding the shooting sports in eastern New England.
It's actually pretty easy.
I already had that information in the calendar on my home computer because I'm always looking for an event to shoot. The only extra "work" I did was publish it to my web space.
The cool thing about published calendars is that as soon as I make a change, it gets pushed to the web for all to see.
If you have a Mac or Windows Vista, you can subscribe to the calendar and updates will be downloaded to your local calendar automagically.

wmc53: If you knew how inept I am at using computers you'd laugh coffee out your nose. I still can't figure out how to attach photos or web addresses. I count on people like you to lead me around. For me, a good day online means I've only made 10 or 12 spelling errors cause I can't even figure out the GD spell check feature.

In that case, I'm glad to be of service.
Keep at it, it gets easier.

You rock Bill ---

see you on the 22nd!!!!! (and maybe the 13th?????)

Donna

Thanks Donna. I'm just trying to do my part expanding the shooting sports.

Can't make it on the 13th but I'll definitely be there on the 22nd. I've already got one new guy signed up and I'm working on another.

For everyone else, keep checking the calendar. More clubs are getting their shoot schedules organized and I will add them to the calendar as soon as I see them.

Thanks for the calendar. Looks great on iCal, now There is almost no space available for me to use.

You shouldn't be trying to schedule something on a shoot date.
If it's another shoot, let me know so I can add it. Then everyone will know.

I just synced the calendar from ical to my iphone! I love the way mac apps interface with eachother so perfectly. All I did was go through the events and set reminders in my phone so I'll be alerted to events I plan to attend!

This is really a great thing you've done! I thank you.

Moderators, could we possibly make this a sticky

I'm for that. This is really useful for keeping track of what's going on. (If I could figure out how to get detailed event info without having my mac handy, I'd upgrade it to "awesomely useful".)

Two new things, too:

The Reading highpower schedule is up:
http://www.readinghighpower.com/high_power.htm

...and Bob's Tactical is promising plate shoots every Wednesday evening:

The plate shoots at Bob's are already on the calendar.

Working on Reading's schedule now.

I've had that bookmarked for a while, but in the past when I clicked on an event, instead of getting details I just got a small window with the same calendar. (I thought this was what you were talking about as well with your 12-01-2008 11:39 AM posting.)

Now, though, I get details and links and stuff! Awesomely useful, indeed.

Nice work AMB. Ive been looking for something like this.

On a related note, I cant subscribe or download via my iPhone. And for you Apple gurus, how do I sync AMB's calendar with my iPhone?
