2007 Scarborough, ME Rifle Schedule

    Scarborough Fish and Game Assn.

    May 5th - Mauser Match(*)
    A 200 and 300 yard National Match Course of fire(58 rounds)
    Limited to bolt action Mauser or WW1 type rifles (Enfield, Springfield, etc. )

    May 20th - Beginners match
    A 100 yard National Match Course (58 rounds)
    Service Rifle or Match Rifles

    June 10th - D Day Match(*)
    A 100, 200 and 300 yard Survival on the beach Course of fire (90 rounds)
    Any iron sighted rifle used on the beaches of Normancy June 6th, 1944

    June 17th - Hi-Power Match
    A 200/300 yard National Match Course of fire (58 rounds)
    Service or Match rifles

    July 8th - Hi-Power Match
    A 200/300 yard National Match Course of fire (58 rounds)
    Service or Match rifles

    August 19th - Operation Starlight Commemorative Match(*)
    A 90 round match using any rifle that was used in the Vietnam War
    Shot at 100, 200 and 300 yards
    F-Class match to follow completion of OSC Match

    September 9th - Springfield Match(*)
    A 75 round 100, 200 and 300 yard survive the Argonne.
    Springfield 1903 (03A3, Mauser, Enfield, WW1 Type bolt rifles)
    Iron sights only

    September 30th - John C Garand Match
    30 round match - Garand Rifles in original as issued condition

    October 14th - Prone Match(*)
    200 and 300 yards (64 rounds)
    Any Rifle - Any Sights
    F-Class match to follow completion of OSC Match

    October 28th - Arthur Kierstead Memorial Match(*)
    100, 200 and 300 yards
    Any Rifle - Any Sights
    All offhand

    December 16th - BOTB Match(*)
    Battle of the Bulge Match
    100, 200 and 300 yards (75 rounds)
    Winter Survival at Bastogne

    (*) - Non-approved fun matches

    Hmm, I've been looking for a local club to join. This looks pretty good. Is it very family-friendly, barbecues, family days, fishing for kids, etc?
