Here is a 2 for 1 review. The lights are similar in features and functions, just different sizes and Lumen ratings. Both have the same charging stand and USB power plug.

These are very nice lights. I am a flashlight junkie and own quite a few from many different brands. The Olight brand is definitely my new go to brand due to the quality and performance for the price. I have a couple of Surefire Lights that are almost 4x the price of this Olight and they have less features and similar quality construction.

When I first put the lights on the charger, I was pleased to see that there is a small LED that changes from red to green to let you know when the light is fully charged. They both took about 3 hours to fully charge (sorry didn't get an exact time) from when the light was totally dead. A full charge lasted me a few nights at work using the various settings. Of course it will depend on how high of a setting you use to determine battery life.

On the High setting for the bigger S30R III (1050 lumens listed) this is like a spotlight in your hand! Like all the Olights, it has a wide, solid beam and really lights up a dark area like daylight. Most of the Olight flashlights have the same functions: Moonlight mode (good for reading without blowing your light vision or advertising your position to the world) low, medium, high and strobe) They are easy to access with the button on the side of the body and the light remembers your the last setting you used and defaults to that when you turn it on again.

The charging bases are very nice. They have suction cups on the bottom to keep it in place and the base is magnetic so the light wont fall off while charging.

The smaller light (S10R III) is listed as 600 lumens and is still very bright on the highest setting. It is a great EDC option. I have mine mounted to the dash in my truck so I always have it in reach. The magnetic base holds the light in place even on bumpy roads and it has not fallen off yet.

I give these lights a big thumbs up! If you haven't tried out any of the Olight flashlights yet, you really need to give them a chance. They are an excellent value for the money.

I treated myself to an S1 Baton in solid brass earlier this year. It is an awesome little light that I keep in my pocket most of the time.

It was an indulgence at around $65, but I justified it by making a round trip drop off to my son's college in one day instead of spending a night.

Sootch talked me into it.
