I'm sure their could be several reasons. But, my 1911 ' s hammer will not stay cocked. I'll pull the slide back and it just flips back. Sear spring seems to be working, could be wrong.

Specs/condition of firearm with round count would be helpful. I'll take it off your hands for $50.

Is it falling to half cocked or the whole way? Did it work properly once and since then has something changed?

All new parts, except for the sear spring. It's a Llama 45 IXA. I have 0 rounds with the new parts. It was working fine, I tried to clean out the spring housing, and when I put it back together, that's when I had the problem.

New parts, that means you changed a few things right? Just because parts look the same or may drop in does not mean the geometry is the same. A few thousands of an inch difference in the sear and hammer relationship can cause failures to function.
