Since he declined to try hunting with my brothers and I in PA for many years I was happy to hear the request.
I informed him that I was certain a Hunter Safety course would be required and tried finding the details when I checked out the West Virginia regs.
No courses were found in our county and I asked the local gun shop I called about getting my license.
The guy at the shop asked if I had had my son check with his Guidance Office at school. Seems in WV hunter safety is taught in school in most counties.
Then the kids take an on-line test, pay their fee and get a certificate to get the license.
It IS different in America.
