So, I'm in San Diego for work and we just went to In and Out Burger for lunch.

I'm sorry to say, it kicks Five Guys Burgers Ass!!

I got the Double Double with Animal Fries. Not only was it better, but it's WAY cheaper!

Whatever is caked all over those fries, somehow, looks disgusting and delicious at the same time.

Ok, check it, it's animal style, so that means you get fries covered with cheese, grilled onions, and "secret sauce" which is thousand island + mayo.

No upcharge. First heart attack is free.

Isn't that like saying you found a beer that's better than Coors Light? [laugh]

It's hard to deny the sheer epic-ness of TBL.

That's what I have heard, I know a few people who have been out that way and all swear by them as the best burger places

They ARE the best. I've tried as much as I could find out here, and nothing comes close. Right behind In-N-Out is Tommy's. Only place you can go, buy a soda and be offered free chili to go with it.

    Jealous, In-n-Out is awesome.

If you like beer I suggest the Stone Brewery in Escondido. Their restaurant is pretty good too.

Living in San Diego, In & Out always used to air these funny commercials about how much people missed their burgers when they left SoCal and would do anything for another In & Out burger. My wife and I would just laugh, thinking how stupid that was. After we moved to RI, we found out just how true those commercials were! Every trip back to San Diego requires an immediate stop at In & Out!
