"Fast And Furious/Gunwalker" mega-thread... was: ATF director expected to resign...

Best case scenario is that Holder takes the fall and resigns too. Big whoop, though.... Obama will just appoint another anti as AG, he'll just pick a "gay anti deceiver" for the position to sneak it by Congress. Course he also could use it as campaign fodder and appoint a republican and use it to "show his willingness to be bipartisan and keep government clean" or some BS. Unless he was dumb enough to leave a paper trail going back to him directly... but I'm not holding my breath on that. Particularly considering that people complicit to this probably still have the capability of destroying that paper trail. It'snot like the FBI went in and seized email servers, backups and files from the ATF, or the white house. Even if they are summoned to do so eventually it will be way, way too late. It'll be like invading Iraq looking for WMDs when you've given Saddam like half a year or more to destroy them all. [thinking]

Never happen. Getting Oblabla re-elected is a bigger boon to the socialists running mexico than actually doing the right thing. If they actually did do that, it would damage the Oblabla admin considerably to the point where it might compromise his chances of getting reelected. They like having a guy in office that plays patty cake with La Raza, etc.

Besides the only logical answer to the elephant in the room question of "why would you let them walk into Mexico when you know you cannot prosecute or even follow them there?" is that the Mexican government was involved at a high level with this scheme...

What exactly their motives might be is hard to say for sure, though not difficult to imagine.

Meh, I'll bet he'll grow feathers pretty quick. Typical politician...when caught, he'll lie for a few days, then come clean, then ask to check himself in to the local ward in the hopes we'll forgive him while he says sorry.

I, for the ever lovin life of me, can not understand why minority groups (gay/lesbian/black/etc etc) are not the staunchest of supporters of gun rights! If I was getting my azz kicked routinely just because I was a minority, my first stop would be the local gun shop! And if anyone told me that my right to carry concealed rested in the hands of some old white guy chief of police...I would make sure that got changed in a hurry.
 
I meant that more rhetorically. EG, Obama will pick someone who flies under the radar but is "programmable" to his agenda.

I doubt Holder-who will go under the bus will sing on the "golfer in chief" too.It is its pretty evident he-obama was involved in it (just like he did when he was a director of the Joyce Foundation),but I do find it interesting that the administration is doing just about every thing-including SPR oil drawdown,to change the subject.Kinda reminds me of the Clinton bombing the factory in Khartoum to get Monica's stained dress off the front covers of the papers.
Issa is in Mexico trying to find out how they where going to trace these weapons when they did not have any way to and did not inform the Mexicans they what they where doing,hmmm.
This has Special Prosecutor,ala Ken Starr,all over it.

Looks like Melson-ATF head,is not going to resign without a fight

and they ,the DOJ will not let him testify to congress !

Kenneth Melson has an open invitation to testify in front of the Congress, but he has yet to do so. If he is so adamant about his willingness to testify in front of the Congress why has he failed to do so?

he has not been given Justice Department approval to appear before Congress.

Isn’t that interesting? Eric Holder has not given Kenneth Melson permission to testify in front of the Congress, why do you suppose that is? Darrell Issa has claimed that the Department of Justice is involved in a coverup of Operation Gunrunner and now it is being reported that the DOJ is not allowing Melson the opportunity to testify or to clear his name while at the same time trying to pressure him to resign before he can tell his story.'

barry's peeps really don't care who the screw. They are god and nobody can touch them...at least in their own minds. I hope some of these senators ream them a couple new orfices in senate meetings about firing this guy!
 
The only peeps that need to get canned are the head of the ATF, and the AG. BS intimidation by the Feds.

There is an interview with Cefelu and Issa on fox news and Issa is going after Justice in a big way. He found that Justice has been keeping the ATF agents in Mexico in the dark and pulling out all the stops to hide their involvement. Melson will testify. All the proof needed to know this goes all the way up to the top. Protect the benefactor.

Melson refusing to be the fall guy is a good thing. That makes it more likely that the folks higher up on the food chain get exposed.
