So I purchased a KIDD barrel with Ruger action a few weeks back , bought a stock , and then purchased another KIDD barrel from a member here, I also picked up a Arken 4-16x50 scope. I have since put everything together , and the last thing I need to do is mount the scope. Purchased some rings for the scope , but the rail doesn't mate to them , so then I ordered a canter lever mount that I thought would fit the rail , and I'm f***ing wrong again. Here is a pic of the rail that was on the receiver , and a pic of the underside of the canter lever mount. Can someone help me out here and tell me what rail I need , because I'm obviously too damn stupid to get this correct............ It's making my blood boil because I've never had this issue before

How far do you plan to shoot? I built a 10/22 with Kidd barrel last summer, and with a 40 MOA rail I can zero at 50 yards, and still have enough eleveation in the scope to aim dead on at 400 yards. (There's about 25 feet worth of drop at that distance!) With a 20 MOA rail you'll be limited to around 300 yards, depending on the scope and individual rifle. At minimum, I'd go 20MOA so you're able to stretch things out if you decide to.

Looks like a picatinny vs weaver issue.

I'm in the middle of a 1022 (clone) build myself. It's a fun but the costs are adding up really quickly.

Was just looking at the Monstrum rail , it doesn't specify the MOA though ...... I'd love to be able to shoot at that distance , but at the moment don't have a place with that type of yardage.

If a rail doesn't list a specific a MOA, then it is 0, meaning totally level. This will get you to anything within 100 yards, and probably a little further. I went with an EGW Rail on mine. They come in 0, 20, 30 and 40 MOA.

Finished putting the rifle together , scope finally mounted , and out to sight in this afternoon. This thing shoots well , and I'm sure a better shooter can do much better. I have to find a rear bag that works for me , as I see that being the most uncomfortable spot today while sighting in. Here's a few pics ........ The shots that aren't grouped were me trying to just get on paper , and then dialing in the scope.
