“FOLKS, LOCK YOUR DOORS, LOAD YOUR GUNS AND GET YOU A BARKING, BITING DOG."

.......“FOLKS, LOCK YOUR DOORS, LOAD YOUR GUNS AND GET YOU A BARKING, BITING DOG. If the Sheriff’s office can’t protect you, WHO WILL?”

I know he is saying that to inform the good law abiding citizens of his town, but really, who doesn't lock their doors and who doesn't load their guns if they own guns? O.K. a nice decent GSD is always a wise idea, but not for everyone.

All sarcasm aside, what a shame that people can't even count on a basic service. Where the hell did all the money go? Follow the money trail....

You’d be surprised. I know a lot of people that still don’t lock their doors, even when they leave for the day, doors are unlocked all day long. Stupid.

And quite a few people I’m sure who got a gun for home defense but are afraid to actually load it or train with it and it sits in a shoebox on the top shelf unloaded until the bad guy’s inside the house already.

Flash forward to 2040, after 20 years of the socialist green new deal, and this headline would be followed by...

It will be impossible to defend yourselves from the roaming bands of Reavers.

As you know President Klobuchar signed the into law the bill outlawing personal ownership of firearms back in 2023 and implemented the phased buy back program that ended in 2033.
Followed by the green deal bonus benefits paid to individuals for reporting hidden gun ownership.

We advise residents to move to the nearest new green deal work/support camp.

P.S.> I have been home sick for two days, pretty sure I have a fever again, which would account for this post and the use of the name Reavers. o_O

Dynamite thread title. Reminds me of an AC/DC song.

I like it. And you didn’t even need to talk about the Mexican Rape Tree or that some no class/no name singer that’s an MK Ultra robot was malfunctioning on stage during the Grammys. Well done Sir.

Yeah well just checked fever is a mere 101 so there is room for decided further lack in judgment if that goes up.

I best put the ipad down.

Door locks? Meh. Most people’s doors are barely capable of holding back a stiff breeze. Home security is an illusion for most.

On the training, spot on. They just want to know it is there. Probably announce “I have a gun!” Yo an intruder before they even bother digging out the shoebox... “I know its in here somewhere...”

Indeed. People would be horrified to see what a well placed kick would do to their front door.

Luckily for me, I have a defense in depth with a second outward-opening door in order to get into my apartment. That gives me the time I need to retrieve my gun from the safe, remove the trigger and cable locks from the frame, reassemble it, retrieve the ammo from the ammo safe, load the empty magazine, and finally load the gun and chamber a round. Most of these people in the country probably don't lock their doors. As most said, a door lock is a joke. In Kentucky, I'm sure guns are loaded and kept handy. Unlike Massachusetts, where laws make it hard to do that.

This is rural Kentucky we are talking about.....not MA....they don't pay taxes like we do. MA wastes more then they would ever spend. They do not view police as "needed" like the scared beta sheep around here are.

When I was down there earlier last year, I think I saw 1 sheriff the whole time, I drove a decent amount as well and was there for almost a week. Most people here run across 3-4 cops on a ride to and from work in a day......I can't believe anyone would call Police around here a "basic service". Its a fxcking overblown, detail paying, tax sucking nightmare is what it is. I can't blame it all on MA...its a Northeast thing. Cops everywhere. God, my last trip to VT up 91 there was a trooper every 20 miles.....WTF.

When I go down south, I rarely see a cop.....I usually drive down to SC about once a year, once I'm out of PA...the cop sightings decrease dramatically and continue to drop on the way down to almost nothing.

I was curious and looked into it, Kentucky has 120 counties despite being a somewhat small state. Each county is really small and many are quite rural . Seems like financial hardship for county-wide services would be a common problem with such small, low population areas.

I've heard of city or town polices folding up for lack of money, but never heard of entire sheriff's departments going under.

IIRC same thing happened a while back (or was supposed to) in Oregon or Washington. Something to do with loss of revenue from forestry, a Sheriff there said residents should arm themselves as losing the tax revenue was going to lead to a decrease in law enforcement personnel.

Does this mean Moonshinin' Season will be starting early and running late...?
