Well how did they shoot? I hate seeing pics like this. They make me want to spend money on a new gun just so I can load ammo that looks that good. Nice work!

    Not bad at all.
  8. What did you do in the reloading room recently?

@The Goose might be able to explain better. HB was used for black powder projectiles to help bump up the bullet to seal the bore better. I believe it had to do with using an undersized bullet that would fit in a fouled chamber but still needed to bump up. Black powder would bump up a solid base...
  9. .38 spl cut down

Ahh i see. Yeah i would check brian enos forums for some first hadn't info. In my experience with 38/357 just toss a brush through it now and then so it doesn't leave a carbon ring. I can't see shorter cartridges really ruining a chamber with mouse fart loads of fast burning pistol powder. Now...
  10. .38 spl cut down

I have done it but I’ve heard it was popular in 627s for a time due to shorter cartridges reloading easier on moon clips. For some reason my iBooks has once again purged my PDFs so I guess I won’t post load data.
  11. What did you do in the reloading room recently?

Not needed really. I guess it helps when trying to push some higher velocities with rifle cartridges.
  12. What did you do in the reloading room recently?

Looking good. Looks a little thick on the coating. I would try a little less coating and don’t shake as long. How did they do on the wipe and smash test?
  13. 2021 NES Bullet Casting Seminar Feeler?

I would check the accurate moulds website and grab some dimensions. Maybe I can match something up later for you.
  14. 2021 NES Bullet Casting Seminar Feeler?

There’s only one way to find out. Well maybe a couple ways. Buy some Lehigh defense. @pastera would be the one would could turn up some stuff for testing.
  15. 2021 NES Bullet Casting Seminar Feeler?

Anything is possible but is it worth it? What are you looking to accomplish with these bullets? Would it be worth turning the tungsten to an exact shape and possibly having a custom bullet mould made to house the rod properly? Casting copper takes a whole new level of heat and moulds and tools...
  16. 2021 NES Bullet Casting Seminar Feeler?

Nah I suck. Been too busy to get a date settled. Maybe we can do something late May. I’ll work on it tomorrow. Maybe.
  17. What did you do in the reloading room recently?

Nah you come down and shoot them. I know your type. You’ll shuck out the primers and order some customer SPP pocketed 45-70 brass
  18. What did you do in the reloading room recently?

That’s a damn fine idea. @Broccoli Iglesias i need you to shoot a handful of 38s for me please. Nice! These were 13.5 grains. They’re a handful for a .357. The bullets on the left.
  19. What did you do in the reloading room recently?

170s are fun. I shot a handful of 170 grain RNFP over a max load of 2400 today. Made the 4” 686 jump a little bit.
  20. What did you do in the reloading room recently?

Sized/lubed a half of an akro bin of MP 360640 HP Just loaded a couple hundred 38s with the solid version of that same bullet. I dumped the last couple ounces of clays in the hopper. Double checked the powder measure was throwing properly. Loaded a handful cartridges and saw the next one...
