So, since the Remington Model 870 Express Tactical normally holds (4) 3" or 2-3/4" shells in the magazine, it will not be considered large capacity even with the 2 shot extension. And the >5 rds would not apply too?
When I applied for my LTC in 2008 in Leominster, It was Sgt, Swaine that reviewed the application and made the determination, the women just did the filing of the application.
Having only an FID, and reading this entire threat, I'll let the dealer do the decision making. If they sell me the Remington Model 870 Express Tactical that I'm interested in getting, GREAT. If they say no, time to start looking at other guns. I think the guys at Four Seasons will guide me right.
Only recently became aware of bill H2259. My letters have been sent to encourage the bill get out of committee and passed. People who have been falsely denied their rights will be able to have this corrected.
Have to agree. After recently been denied for my LTC-A, I was also told by the interviewer, that if denied for the above, LTC-B and FID are also automatically denied. There's a strange curve. The lawyer will get all.
At the beginning to the thread we are told to order the following application forms:
F 7CR and F 5310.16, which are both described on the atf.gov site as
Application for License (Collector of Curios and Relics) Under 18 U.S.C. Chapter 44, Firearms.
What is the difference if any between the two...
I just received the following:
Model 65-H H&R Reising 22 cal., with 4x 10 capacity magazines, made in Worcester, MA. Marine rifle from WWII.
1829 Springfield, converted to percussion in 1861. The dates are according to the previous owner.
I'm awaiting my license from Leominster. Won't take the guns, until I have my license in hand, unless a war breaks out. We are both in MA. So once I'm approved, we'll be taking a trip together.
Thanks for the help.
My father has two rifles he wants to give me. They have never been registered. Both are about 40 years old. What paper work will have to be done? I'd also have them checked by a gunsmith for safe use.
Took a wonderful class from Dennis Doti, owner of First Defense Firearms. Was very informative about the law, safety was quite indepth. Ended the class with 21 rounds from a 9mm Glock.
A first rate class and at a great price.
I'll be attending my LTC course in the next week or two. Last time I shot a gun was when I was 12. Forty-one years ago. I hope to concealed as I now have a nut case in the family, and sorry to say folks, he's a ex-marine.
