Has anyone done an extended backpack trip in Denali National Park? It's on the list as a strong potential for a 2-week trip this summer with my two sons.
Would be interested in feedback and thoughts as we are in the early planning stages
Yosemite or Yellowstone are our second/third choices...
My son is applying to Med school, and his MCAT test has the wrong birthdate on it (1986 vs. the correct 1996) - with the incorrect birthdate he is unable to fully submit his applications.
The testing board says the only resolution is to have his ID notarized - basically a notarized...
Hi All - after a bit of a break, going to start a small garden again with the kids
I have a ton of seeds from the last time we had a garden - all from 2013 and 2014
Kept dry over that time.
Curious if anybody has experience with using seeds this old with good results?
Or if better to just buy...
Just tried to do a FTF sale and the system would not proceed with an ‘invalid birthdate’ for the buyer although it was correct (and matched the info on the LTC validation that we did to double check)
just wonder is others are seeing any issues today?
The portal was very slow as well
Thought I would hit up the brain trust on NES as this is probably the largest (and best) source of information I have at my fingertips.
My daughter will be starting the 11th grade later this month and has excelled at running during High School - so much so that I think we should be...
Has anyone refaced their kitchen cabinets/drawers (covering exposed front and side surfaces with laminate and replacing the cabinet doors and drawer fronts with new ones)?
Looking to do a semi-update of the kitchen and give the cabinets a new look, but didn't want to do a full refurb at the...
Will be dropping off my daughter to a running camp in Lyndonville VT (off 91) this summer and was thinking of spending a few days with the wife somewhere in the area (anywhere within 30 miles or so) before we pick her back up.
Anybody live near here and have suggestions for hotels, restaurants...
Hi Everyone - sadly my PCP of many years retired and I am back looking for a doctor
Would welcome recommendation from anyone as to doctors they have or like as a PCP
Really looking for a doctor who listens and isn't offended by a patient who advocates for their own health and who may want to...
Question to the NES braintrust
After searching through the NFA forum can't seem to track down a thread with the info.
Need to FA-10 my first SBR build.
How is it classified under 'Type' - not a rifle, since it is less than 16" barrel (?)
so - is there an 'other' option that can be...
From TTAG a few moments ago:
Seriously? Is anyone really seeing that out there locally?
Didn't realize the freakout level was that high.
20% off Giessele Product at Primary arms if any one is interested - looks like it is good through Monday
I bought an SSA-E last year's sale, as I though the price was pretty good @ $192
Was hoping to get a little advice from current EMTs as my 19-year old son would like to become one.
What is the pathway of doing that in Mass? I will admit I know very little of the process and requirements.
I did some searching and see that you have to take the course work...
Bought a Yugo SKS this past week - nice condition overall and got the chance to clean it up this weekend
Had a couple of questions on some things I discovered while cleaning the SKS
After getting the cosmo out, the barrel didn't take too much effort to clean and in fact had no GSR...
The earlier thread on King Richard's Faire got me thinking...I really like this time of year, fall going into winter - nice weather and it seems more time on the weekend to do things...
We usually hit a couple of local fall festivals and I fondly remember going to the winter festival in...
Haven't seen one of these before. Turkey vulture I believe(?).
Was sitting on the kid's swingset - flew up there after munching on a bird it must of caught.
The pictures don't do justice to how big they really are - the wingspan was absolutely huge
Am experiencing a second episode of CSR or Central Serous Retinopathy - spent a good part of the day at the ophthalmologist on Monday. Basically it is small bleed under the retina that lifts the retina and causes vision problems.
Sad day here in Groton - sounds like business might be a total loss.
Great family and great business -hoping they decide to build again
