  1. Target Sports Delivering Again - Megathread

    $0.35 a round for blanks!
  2. Breonna Taylor killed in her home by police home invasion?

All other things being equal, it's likely that you could then defend against the knife with lethal force, as the knife is a lethal weapon and you would be within your rights to use a lethal defense. The person who pulled the knife on you cannot claim self-defense, as a single punch to the nose...
  3. Breonna Taylor killed in her home by police home invasion?

The cop who was fired and is now charged with wanton endangerment was outside in the parking lot, firing blindly without a target. I believe (stress "believe", not "know") that he fired into multiple apartments in the process. If that's the case, I have no problems charging a police officer...
  4. Breonna Taylor killed in her home by police home invasion?

Might be a long wait. The guy who's going to trial is going for wanton endangerment for firing blindly from the parking lot outside into one or more apartments, hitting no one in the process. Who shot Ms. Taylor and where she was shot likely won't enter into it.
  5. Target Sports Delivering Again - Megathread

Both of my recent orders from TS have come within 2 business days of order. Hell, they've got so little stuff in stock that the shipping guys are probably spending more time playing bocce than working.
  6. Target Sports Delivering Again - Megathread

For those of us who've lost our decoder ring, WhoTF is Larry?
  7. Target Sports Delivering Again - Megathread

Hey, think of it as a replacement this year to constantly sitting online / on the phone trying to get Sox playoff / WS tickets.
  8. Target Sports Delivering Again - Megathread

I was bitching to my wife last night that if I go down to the outdoor range and shoot 50 rounds of 5.56, it costs $30. She said to live with it, it's still cheaper than a round of golf.
  9. Open display of a loaded rifle on your own property

Looks like that came from the abstracts, but note that the wording in his quote says a "possess .... a LOADED rifle or shotgun". If you're unloaded, it would seem that his quote leaves you in the clear.
  10. Target Sports Delivering Again - Megathread

It's just depressing. Torn between "How much???" and "But, I just like shooting my 5.56 so damn much!" I was especially bemused by this line on the page: "223 Remington ammo made by Hornady is inexpensive target & practice ammunition."
  11. Open display of a loaded rifle on your own property

The EP interpret it as being lawfully engaged in hunting only if the shotgun is unloaded while you're on or within 150' of the road. Yes, the law doesn't read that way, but that's apparently the way they treat it.
  12. Open display of a loaded rifle on your own property

Among the things I know that you can't do in Massachusetts are openly carrying an uncased rifle with or without ammunition on a public way, firing a rifle or other firearm within 150 feet of a road or 500 feet of an occupied house, carry a loaded rifle within 150 feet of a road while hunting...
  13. Thoughts on 147gr JHP 9mm for carry rounds?

The Remington 147 grain HTP ran fine in my P938 until I got lazy and slagged off on cleaning for a few trips to the range. Once the gun was dirty, I had 8 fail to function while shooting a box of 50 rounds.
  14. Dating old ammo

Is 'cover' a euphemism for something else? ;)
  15. Target Sports Delivering Again - Megathread

They have the 1000 round .223 bulk boxes as well. But that's way more 5.56 than I shoot in several years.
  16. How to shoot yourself in the hand with a modified handgun.

Well, you don't know if it's a through-and-through that isn't hurting yet from shock or if it's just a superficial crease. He's still able to open and close his hand, so I would think all the bones are still in place.
  17. Target Sports Delivering Again - Megathread

Dammit, I'm not paying 12 cents a round for .22LR. I'm just not.
  18. 17-year-old arrested in killing of 2 people in Kenosha

The first time he was in a place safe to do so seems to be when he reached all the police vehicles with his hands up. They look to have blown him off, so he left. IIRC, he called his local police the next morning. Arguably he should have done so sooner, but it's not like the 911 operators in...
  19. 17-year-old arrested in killing of 2 people in Kenosha

Following up on the (totally expected) unreliability of the MSM to report this case. ABC was running "newly discovered video" footage of the first guy shot chasing and throwing something at Rittenhouse. However, they were describing it as occurring "after he had shot three people"...
