Anyone have the Lee 250 gr R.E.A.L. 50cal mold that potentially would be going to the seminar? I have the ball and 300gr combo mold and I’ve been testing those out.
I backed off the die and plink tested till it chambered. 45-70……. I haven’t picked anything up in a while. I have to get on my cast muzzle loader project before deer season.
I think I may have found the cause of my 9mm leading. @pastera got me thinking and I measured my diameters as the bullet progressed through my press. All was good till I got to the crimp die… found the squeeze to be down to .350. I adjusted and now I’m back to testing.
During lubing the plunger in my RCBS LAM2 came off the bolt and was stuck at the bottom of the luber. I ended up cranking the heat, cleaning out old lube, and jamming a wood dowel that I was lucky enough to get threaded on the plunger. We managed to load up a few hundred more.

Second question of the day around using cerrosafe to slug a bore. Chamber cast and or cast the muzzle… you wouldn’t push it through the bore like a pure lead slug…
I was thinking of taking the same bullet lee .312 155gr, hi tek, sizing to 309 with lube and turning out some 300 blackout. I have the tips done and now I need to come up with a load recipe. Could I use 2400 like the x39’s with a reduced starting point of around 13gr! Any recommended known...
