  1. Gold and silver prices are down

The Fugate family (and descendants) from Kentucky were the “Blue People”. Serious smurf vibes…..
  2. Your New Knife!

That's fantastic. My son turns 18 in January and he is going to get a Model 1-7" that I've been holding for him. I added a picture of the Smithsonian Bowie next to a Buck 110. It looks ridiculous.
  3. Your New Knife!

Is the new Randall for one of your kids, or for yourself?
  4. Your New Knife!

I'm pretty gun'd out. I have (or have had) every handgun, rifle and shotgun that I had to have. So I don't feel guilty going back on my vow to stop buying Randall Made Knives. Here is my newest and by far largest. I added a quarter to show the relative scale, but you have to see it in person...
  5. Your New Knife!

This is sorta new (to me) also. SIX option 5-6"
  6. Your New Knife!

Last Randall. I swear.......(fingers may be crossed)
  7. "NEW KNIFE CHALLENGE!"

I know I said I was done buying new Randalls, but a guy can change his mind. I picked up a standard Model 3-5” with a stacked leather grip and this crazy example. Model 5-6” with SIX options (stainless blade, stag handle, finger grooves, compass, wrist thong, and waxed sheath).
  8. Gold and silver prices are down

Gold & silver spot prices are getting worked this morning (not that spot has any real correlation to the physical price of PM's right now.). But I always think there are profit opportunities around regardless of price volatility (up or down). I just like when there is movement, because I can...
  9. Your New Knife!

    K. I'm officially done buying nice knives. I've finally found what I've been searching for. Randall Model 1-8" All Purpose Fighting Knife with stag finger grips, with a JRB (Johnson Rough Back) sheath. It was made in 1968, so it is a birth year knife for me!!
  10. Your New Knife!

I run across these so rarely at reasonable prices that I have to grab them when I have the chance. Another new Randall....
  11. Gold and silver prices are down

There were a ton. Lowest price I saw for singles was $33-34 each. They ran all the way up to almost $40 each (they weren’t selling though).
  12. Gold and silver prices are down

Went to the Coin & Precious Metals show in Manchester yesterday (still going on today). Plenty of physical gold, silver, platinum and collectibles available. Most prices are sky high, though, for the most part. But vendors/buyers are also paying nice premiums for stuff walking in the door...
  13. Your New Knife!

I have a few Randall Knives, but I've only ordered one directly from the company (took 4 years I think). I have bought the others from authorized dealers. They are usually more expensive buying that way, but there is no wait. Its also next to impossible to get a model with all the specific...
  14. Your New Knife!

Haven't been around in a minute. I couldn't help myself. I had to get another Randall..... 7" Model 16 Special Purpose Fighter (SP #1 Fighter).
  15. Gold and silver prices are down

Rich - I agree with you and I don't think anyone is that smart. That's why I'm a big believer in taking out some profits now and again. I hate seeing fellow PM guys (not you) watch their assets go up and then go down, without ever taking anything off the table. I can understand if someone is...
  16. Gold and silver prices are down

I was researching for fun. I don’t buy from the online sources anymore, unless eBay is handing out big eBay bucks on gold. I only buy from people (or shops) that I know, or know directly through a friend. I’m still buying a lot, but mainly gold right now. I’ve been selling a little silver...
  17. Gold and silver prices are down

If you buy three 2021 Silver Eagles from Apmex and use PayPal, you will get free shipping. But you will pay Spot + $17 on each coin!!!!! I'm not sure I remember a higher premium. I'm going to have to check my records on the premiums when silver was crazy in 2011.
  18. Gold and silver prices are down

I'm working on a deal at the moment (my offer is proposed) with a guy, silver for gold. I think I'll be ok in the long term, but I'm a little afraid that I may take it in the shorts in the short term.... Not really an analytical or researched trade. More of a gut feeling.
  19. Gold and silver prices are down

Varmint's got the answer ↑↑↑ If stimulus discussions are still helter skelter and there are no substantive cooperation agreements by the weekend, there could be some opportunities and wild fluctuations. I don't think we're there yet, but I'm keeping my eyes open.
