So I did read the posts, but am now a bit confused about ammo storage. I have always locked ammo in boxes in my basement. Is there a LAW requiring this or was this just my practice? Sorry but the difference between CMR and laws are not super clear to me........

I shot ten consecutive rounds out of my American Derringer Model 1 in .44 mag with no glove. I did duct tape a beer coaster to the webbing on my hand though.... S&W .460 es with a 2.5 inch barrel was similar in recoil.... I shot an AD model 4 in .45-70 as well- ouch. We shall see how bad it is...

No it hasn't. The last email from yesterday detailed a problem they had with machining that set them back. They expect I will have it in another month. I doubt it but I still want the damn thing so Im going to wait it out.
