I am going to give you the benefit of the doubt here.
There is a legal requirement to file a notice of intent to sue 30 days prior to filing a lawsuit. This is just how it works. There are specific processes and procedures to follow. If you don't do the steps correctly, you will get your...
I found a Ruger GP-100 I forgot I owned in a locked range bag I haven't used since 2019. I don't shoot wheel guns all that often.
Also once found a 8mm Mauser over 10 gauge my great uncle gave my grandfather for me.....I shot it once and said it wasn't my cup of tea outside of raw need.
Wish I could answer that, but Sparky (the original communication path for the original new applicant) decided to take his ball and go home when he was asked to have the original applicant follow a specific process.
I have been emailing with an individual who turned in an application to the PD, was given an appointment for the interview a couple weeks out, as well as a receipt as proof of submission.
Seems the PD is living up to their commitment to resume the normal process
In this case, there was no need for legal intervention, even for a letter. Some of our contacts received an update from the PD after the holidays. We appreciate the offer just the same.
The reality is that there will continue to be issuing authorities that play loose and fast with the rules...
Just an FYI for those following along:
Part of the reason it is common to ask folks to begin the self-advocacy process by contacting local and state representatives is it establishes that you attempted to resolve the issue through the administrative means available to you before turning to the...
Quick update all:
Seems the issue was with staffing at Framingham PD. They assigned a single officer to handle the process and due to the change in laws last year, an in person interview was mandatory and they did not have enough people to accommodate it.
Comm2A has been notified that...
Here is the bounce. I am not going to post the whole of the conversation.
What I was saying about the waiting for years thing is that if we start legal action, it could be years before a court tells the PD to do their job.
I wish you would dedicate half as much energy towards the people...
Sparky, I had replied quite a while ago and did get a bounceback that I missed. This was likely because I was out of the country or on a plane when I tried to send the message originally.
If you friend wants to face the prospect of not getting his LTC for a few years while the case proceeds...
Can you show where we were notified 3 months ago? We were notified a few weeks ago and have been working on the specific language.
As I said, I will check for a bounce back on my message to him. I am sure I sent the email. I will see if something happened when I am at my PC again in the...
Not what I am saying. What I am saying is that there needs to be pressure from multiple angles to split this Gordian Knot.
Your friend should be able to report this to his elected officials so they can advocate on his behalf.
A letter from us is a possibility and is being ironed out.
I did send an email back to him. I will see if it bounced or if it was in spam.
The reality is that the wheels of justice would move slowly and your friend would need to accept that. It would be well past February before the case was heard.
I suggested he reach out to the City...
If you ever took the time to read some of the MOH citation from Wounded Knee, you would probably agree that they were not deserved.
"Conspicuous bravery in bringing back to the picket line a run away pack mule"
We got to the email. We are discussing it. I will reply once I am back in front of my computer and have something to relay.
I am currently in MN for work, back super early Friday.
We are continuing to discuss.
Sorry this is not fast enough for you, but as I said, a rush causes bad case law...
We appreciate it, all donations, large or small help us keep the wheels moving.
Legal stuff never goes quickly, and as I am sure we are all aware, costs money. There are quite a few ongoing things in the works, a few coming to an end, and a few just getting started.
