  2. Fall Walls 2020

You can never have a bad time at Walls.
  3. Allowing .22's at USPSA or IDPA matches?

Like walls of steel, for .22 https://www.rfsteel22lr.com/ Edit to add, theres also Rimfire Challenge which either is, or was, an nssf program. Rimfire only steel challenge, but more outlaw with 6 to 8 plates. The hardcore ones run 2 shoot boxes- one for pistol , one for rifle. Same stage, boxes...
  4. 2019 Wall of Steel matches

Iron sights vs optical/ red dot
  5. IDPA, plates, practical. Do you know of any groups who run a hot range?

I'm gonna pour a little gas on this one. Just like everything else in life, you get out of it what you put into it. If all you can see about the games is points and score times, you're 100% incorrect. All games are an offshoot of Jeff Coppers Thunder Ranch training programs. Bianchi cup I...
  6. Glock 17 "redesigned" for PCC

Looks like it would work if it had a giggle stick. Clubs that use the crippled mag rule, looks like it might make mag changes a little difficult.
  7. IDPA, plates, practical. Do you know of any groups who run a hot range?

Having had run-ins with range tards, I don't think I want them behind me with loaded firearms while I'm running a tablet or timer.
  8. 2019 Wall of Steel matches

Shot one once, bigger and way more fun to shoot and watch. I couldn't believe the amount of people that flew in just for that. The guy that shows up with his mobile welding rig, I don't think he shut that thing down once all weekend.
  9. 2019 Wall of Steel matches

Yea, they don't take long I'm shooting for Fall Walls
  10. 2019 Wall of Steel matches

August Walls opens up in 1 hour on Practiscore I think its Big Walls
  11. No ammo for competition.

No matter how good someone thinks they are (including myself) while standing in that box, all fine motor skills go out the window as soon as that timer goes off. Took a year or so to loosen up. I once watched a shooter go through about 250 rds (and change guns because he ran out of 1 caliber)...
  12. No ammo for competition.

A reasonable supply is double of what you'd go through during a competition season. Per caliber.
  13. 2019 Wall of Steel matches

Saw that but was too late. Didn't even think to check. Theres always big walls and fall walls.
  14. 2019 Wall of Steel matches

Is registration open for mini-walls in june or is that sill up in the air?
  15. 2019 Wall of Steel matches

I hope so One of the few things I look forward to every year. I couldn't believe the amount of people that would fly in for Big walls.
  16. 2019 Wall of Steel matches

Got this yesterday. Managed to make it down for the last 3 years Definitely the most fun I've had at an event, and I hope it continues. "To all the competitors and friends I have met and enjoyed time with throughout the last eighteen years I am writing to inform you that I have stepped down...
  17. Proper Revolver

Is i.d.p.a. six shot only? I've never shot it, club member told me that I'd have to shoot "e.s.r." because of the moon's and could only load 6 rounds instead of 8.
  18. Proper Revolver

Anything 4", easier to swing and better for lining up fast shots Anything moon clipped, makes for faster reloads providing the cartridge agrees with it. 9 , .40 and .45 round nose kind of "plop" in vs. .38 or .357 r.n. where theres some wiggling to be done. Anything 8 shot. 627, 929. Ideally...
  19. 2020 Steel challenge at Holbrook Sportsmen's Club
