By the way, I use Brave browser on all devices, but I don't log into it so it isn't using the sync feature. I saw Chrome mentioned... Brave uses the same browser engine as Chrome (but without all the anti privacy stuff).
I just cleared all browser history and will see if that helps....
Still no refresh. I have to refresh every forum topic list, and thread, to see the latest. Refreshing the thread is especially annoying since I then have to scroll back through it to figure out where I left off, and this takes a while.
They may still be commenting on what it looked like before you fixed it. It looks decent now with regard to colors, and proper separation between posts. Thanks for all the hard work!
One more thing... in the thread list, the contrast between a read thread and a thread with remaining stuff to read is very small. Yes, there is the small blue ball on the left. But, I recall the old forum made the text of the thread title look quite a bit different if it had been read (lighter...
Now that the colors are more bearable (thanks!), I can worry about lesser things. Just a few I noticed although not sure which are possible to fix:
The thread list used to show an indicator that I had posted in it before; I miss that.
When I reply to a thread, it puts me at the end of the...
Not one that is HTML. Someone mentioned a Xenforo app that may run on a phone but I have no idea if that is set up to work yet.
I am finding the web site mostly usable on a phone. The page number and next buttons are too small though. And after I read through a thread, it takes too many UI...
They are the same web site version. Set your phone browser to the URL and it is the same site resized to properly fit on the phone. Some web sites automatically switch to a special version of the site and the browser address bar would be m.northeastshooters.com....i don't see that happening here.
I just had a brief look at the Xenforo web site..... Looks like it supports changing color themes. I also saw examples of reasonable separators between posts rather than this blend everything together that we have now. So I am optimistic it is possible to make this better.
While it appears to be the same theme, it is much more horrid on a PC. I find it more bearable when using on my phone... I don't have the problem of seeing where one post ends and another begins.
And NFC! I'm old but embracing all the new stuff! I think I will get Snapchat next and chat with teenagers or whatever you do with it, once I figure out what it is.
