Absolutely. I don't compete in 3 gun and the like.....but if I'm driving more than 45 minutes to hunt I always bring a spare gun. Saved a hunt a few years ago up in north central maine.......snow shoe hare hunt.....and the safety spring on my browning a5 popped......back to the truck to grab...
It depends on the town.
Haverhill....where I live.....has a simple policy......if you qualify you qualify.....if you don't you dont. Meaning if your not a fed prohibited person you'll get an ltc no questions asked. And they process them fast......6 to 7 weeks from interview to license in...

Point of order.....if you take part in 3 gun, steel challenge and the like.....its normal practice for some events to "show clear" to the ro then point the gun downrange and pull the trigger on the empty chamber before holstering. It proves the guns unloaded for sure.

2. I ordered an rcbs puller. My plan is to pull 50.....and reload those......then pull 50 etc....so I should be ok.
Well sort of. How light the charges are.....or how willing the da is to bargain down depends on
1. The color of your skin
2. If your a law abiding ltc holder or not.

Confirmed batch of bad 2400 powder. Doesn't ignite well.....sometimes doesn't ignite at all leaving a projo in the bore with powder all packed behind it. If it does ignite its all over the place on report and velocity. I tried a ton of different solutions but none helped at all. There's posts...
