Hi there - I'm asking this for a friend of mine.
Here's the situation:
3/16/16 - My friend does a plea deal on a DUI, gets a CWOF and a year probation.
3/18/16 - My friend applies for his LTC, meets with Dedham chief, chief denies it because of DUI (CWOF???)
About a month later, my...
I seem to recall somewhere on the vast maze of the EOPS site there was a FAQ section that stated that a locked trunk is considered a locked container for the storage of firearms. Perhaps someone has a link to that section.
Granted if someone pops your trunk and steals your firearm(s), things...
I suspect this is fallout from the stupid, incorrect AG notice that went out to a number of online retailers threatening them with legal action if they sold ammunition to residents of MA without a dealers license (total crap). Many of the retailers got scared and stopped shipping anything that...
I was talking to a friend of mine today who said he heard that there was something in the Burlington, MA ByLaws that made carrying concealed an arrestable offense. He was most concerned with driving on Rt. 128 with a traffic stop.
I figure this is complete crap, but just wanted to confirm...
I had this problem with some of the crappy soviet block 8mm ammo, and found that when I put a stronger spring in the bolt, that solved the issue. I would dent the primer, but they bullet would never go off. I think the replacement was a 30lb spring or something - something that was at least...
I'm sure this has already been discussed, so I'm expecting to get flamed.[devil2]
Anyway, I'm curious if the amount of bullets that normally have large primers and have small primers instead has increased or decreased recently. Also, has anyone run into anything with a large primer (44 comes...
Ok -
Before this thread gets deleted, let me explain my question, which I'll 99% sure I already know the answer to, I just want some affirmation from people that have dealt with it recently.
A friend of mine lives in South Boston. Her legal address at the moment is in NH. I know - just...
Did we ever find out what happened with the OP's friend? I'd be very curious to see if he got an easy-street settlement, or if there was more to the story.....
You'll probably get away with that, but rest assured, the police can always find a way to make anything illegal in MA (especially knives) if they want to jam you up.
I think it's important to note here - and there's some controversy surrounding this - when you move out of the commiewealth, you still need to send notification letters to the CHSB (whatever they are called now), the town where you hold your LTC, and potentially the town you are moving into in...
This could be an issue. Pepper Spray requires a permit in MA. It really depends who is in possession of it if the police are involved. If your friend(s) have any form of MA LTC or FID, and s/he/they are in possession of the pepper spray, it should be ok. Yes, this state is retarded with laws...
I wouldn't even consider CCW unless I had the unrestricted LTC in hand. The state is just too screwed up to play that game. Your risk is revocation and never getting another LTC. 12 weeks is a long time, though. I'd politely harass your local PD.
