Put this doe down last night! Came in and missed the first shot, she was a little too close she ran ten yards and gave me a good quartering away shot at 18yds!

How much do you guys worry about wind direction during the rut? I normally play the wind but my spot is hot right now gad bucks chasing does this morning and evening. I normally hunt it on a wnw, nw or nnw wind it's s sw in the am...worth the risk?

Was out in the am had a doe come by and within 30 minutes 4 bucks cruised her trail...the chase is on!

Had some bucks (basket 8 and a 6) fighting/sparring in front of me this morning at 15 yards...I passed on them and the same thing this evening only they were 60yards out. Was cool to watch!

So that you don't have more than your normal allotted two buck tags? Not sure what the big deal is in having a backup? Mind you I have one on my phone but not the point....it's the top note in photo

The cold temps this week should be good...passed on a basket 8 tonight. Had him on camera coming in this morning at 7 and going back out tonight around 6...back out tomorrow morning...to see some real deer.

I've been using a cabelas cam for about 3-4 years now. Only issue is the video function doesn't work any more and that happened after being out in one of the last cold winters we had. I think its time for a new one though anyways. Most likely will be getting the new cabelas 20MP black IR...$200
