Grew up watching him. I was stunned to learn he was a former teacher and had a masters degree (I recall he was a math guy but could be wrong). He was dyslexic who found his way in the world.
I still remember when his wrestling persona developed a crush on Miss Elizabeth. OMG! He could act with the best of them.
RIP Mr. Steele, and thanks for the great memories!

The best wrestling back then was the Texas stuff with the Von Erichs. Some of those guys legit hated each other. I remember a guy taunting taunting him about being high when he climbed into the ring. ( Gino Hernandez ?) Asking him if he was high and what was wrong with his eyes. LOL
I know pro wrestling is fake as shit but some of those matches resulted in serious injury. Check #3...
