The bill, AB 424, was introduced by Assemblyman Kevin McCarty’s (D-Sacramento).

McCarty introduced his bill after five California school districts chose to allow teachers and/or staff with concealed carry permits to be armed on campus to defend themselves and their students. The five districts were Kern High School District, Kingsburg Joint Union High School District, Folsom Cordova Unified School District, Anderson Union High School District, and Palo Cedro’s North Cow Creek School District.

Breitbart News reported that McCarty justified his push to disarm teachers by saying, “A safe learning environment is essential for our children to be successful in the classroom. That’s not possible if a school district allows armed civilians to roam California school campuses.”

Realtree Pro Staffer Byron South's Predator Hunting Pet Peeves

As simple as the fundamentals of coyote hunting are, someone is out there, virtually every day, making mistakes through inattention to detail or, in some cases, by overthinking what should be a fairly simple, and fun, process.

And that bothers Realtree pro staffer Byron South, who has been hunting predators for 30-plus years. “It’s a pet peeve of mine,” he said. “Calling coyotes can be difficult so being unprepared to create the opportunity or to seize it when it comes can be very frustrating,” he said.

South, a professional predator hunter, is co-founder of Convergent Hunting Solutions, which designs and manufactures game calls, so he has the credentials to back his list of common mistakes predator hunters make. Call ‘em Byron’s Pet Peeves of Predator Hunting.

As Rep. Steve Scalise (R-LA) was welcomed back to Congress on September 28, Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) pointed to the attack–in which a progressive shot Scalise–and argued that suppressors ought not be deregulated.

It must be noted that a suppressor was not used when the attacker opened fire in Congressional baseball players on June 14.

According to Roll Call, Pelosi said the GOP has placed suppressor deregulation “under the facade that it’s for hunters.” She then regurgitated the same false, leftist narrative that the result of suppressor regulation would be silenced, undetectable guns.

She mentioned the shooting of Scalise and said, “If you can hear, you can run.” In other words, if the gun makes sound then you can flee the gunman.

President Trump is ready to shift rules to allow American gun makers more leeway in selling arms and ammunition to foreign buyers.
This would mean expanded markets for AR-15s and American made 5.56 and .223 ammunition.

According to Reuters, aides to President Trump are finalizing “a plan to shift oversight of international non-military firearms sales from the State Department to the Commerce Department.” And the shift in rules governing sales to foreign buyers can be accomplished without Congressional approval.
