Best duct tape story ever
No way I will get into one of those crop dusters, never mind one being held together by tape. Not sure how true the story is, it came in an email.
During a private "fly-in" fishing excursion in the Alaskan wilderness, the chartered pilot and fishermen left a cooler and bait in the plane. And a bear smelled it. This is what he did to the plane.
The pilot radioed another pilot to bring him 2 new tires, 3 cases of duct tape, and a supply of sheet plastic. He patched the plane together, and FLEW IT HOME!

Sure, no problem! You just have to use the green "100 mph" duct tape.

Considering the other things I've seen done with duct tape, I'd get into it. I wouldn't expect it to work for more than a thousand miles, but that's plenty to get home.

that aircraft has a top speed of 97 knts, so 100mph tape is fine as long as the PIC doesn't push it.

I'd get in. It would probably fly fine with the hole, the canvas is just for comfort.

Hell, looks better than the plane I used to jump out of....
While I would love to see pictures of this plane actually in the air to believe it fully, I would think this is a plausible story...."Beer is living proof that God loves us and wants us to be happy." - Ben Franklin

necessity is a mother!
"Are we at last brought to such an humiliating and debasing degradation that we cannot be trusted with arms for our own defense? Where is the difference between having our arms under our own possesion and under our own direction, and having them under the management of Congress? If our defense be the real object of having those arms, in whose hands can they be trusted with more propriety, or equal safety to us, as in our own hands?"
